Valley of Lower Delaware

VOLD is the acronym for Valley of Lower Delaware which is part of the Delaware Council of Deliberation. The Delaware Council of Deliberation represents Delaware's two Valleys which includes the Valley of Wilmington (VOW) as well as the Valley of Lower Delaware (VOLD). And we are all part of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction (AASR-NMJ) headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts. SCOTTISH RITE MASONRY for TODAY'S FREEMASON While not losing sight of our history and unshaken Blue Lodge roots the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction (AASR-NMJ), a Masonic appendant body steeped in tradition with an eye toward the future, has rededicated itself to SERVE our Brothers as an enjoyable and educational Masonic experience. We have entered the 21st Century world of ever shifting paradigms coupled with increasing demands of time, we have seen a need to take advantage of todays ever evolving internet which provides the ability for instant communications world-wide and to encourage innovative leadership attuned to the needs of todays Freemason desiring to increase his Masonic involvement with wise time management and increased family participation. I.C.E. ,is a newly developed program which permits Valleys to stream line meetings while encouraging special programs to make the time spent at meetings inspirational, convenient and enjoyable (I.C.E.). A special emphasis has been placed on social events such as trips to various sites of interest and monthly dinners or luncheons that include our Ladies. Our "more seasoned" members are encouraged to take a new look at us and to become more active in their Valleys and to "partner-up" with new members to encourage new ideas and increased participation. This mentoring can lead to newer Brothers learning the allegory and thereby alleviate the necessity of always being obligated to do a certain part or parts for years on end. A car-pooling effort can provide rides for Brothers who have difficulty driving at night and help us through increasing fuel prices with the extra added attraction of fraternal interaction with valley Brothers while on the road.
